Custom scripted stencils
Choices
'Full sized stencils'
on two lines are designed to fit in an area of approx 400mm wide x 250mm high.
This is the regular size which is suitable for a Horse.
'Reduced sized
stencils' are designed in the same way as the full sized ones, but are produced
at 70% of full size. This reduced size is suitable for either a shoulder design,
or a pony's smaller rear and made to fill an area of approx 280mm wide x 175mm
high.
Note
All custom stencils will have a perimeter
around them. If you are clipping just the design,
This perimeter is to take a minimum amount
of hair off if you only want the design clipped.
This works well if you are clipping a design
on your horse in the summer, or a hunter style clip and don't want to take any
more hair off than necessary.
If you are doing a full body clip,
you would just ignore the perimeter of the stencil and thus leave the lettering in place !
Two identical custom stencils will be cut
and despatched. This is to ensure you are able to clip your design if the
stencil were accidentally damaged.
All custom stencils are designed and cut to
order. This is a time consuming process, so please order in good time to
avoid disappointment
Limitations
- We recommend that no more than two lines of text, with a total of 18 characters including spaces are specified for ease of clipping on an A3 sized stencil, This is to ensure that the clarity of the image is retained, and it is achievable in the coat. The average area to work with on a Horses rear is quite large, so it is possible to use two stencils if necessary.
- Due to the nature of the application system, the stencils can only be used once.
- If your Horse has recently had a clip, the stencils will not adhere to the coat, They will only stick to hair which is lying down.
- To test if the coat is long enough, try first with a piece of sticky tape, If it sticks properly, then so will the stencil.
TIPS
- If your horses coat is long and not been clipped all winter, You will have much more hair to remove, and as such it will make clipping the design a much bigger task. If your clippers have a length guard, you can reduce the length of a very long coat in the work area to make the stencil clipping much easier and quicker - less hair to detail = less work.
- You can clip right over the top of the template to define the edge of the design.
