Back Combing
Designs - Brush in Brush out
These brand new back
combing templates have been developed to offer an alternative from the
chequer board and sharks tooth designs you are used to seeing.
They are made from heavy
grade rubberised vinyl and are also magnetic, so when not in use can
be stuck against a panel inside your horsebox for easy storage.
Like the traditional
back combing templates, they work in the same way and can be used to build
up a symmetrical pattern in your horses coat.
For best results, we
have found the following method works well
Instructions
1) Dust the target area
with a can of super strength hair spray
(pump action if your
horse is a bit nervous)
2) Position the template
and use a brush or comb to raise the hair through the template apertures
(a bit of care is
needed at this stage to get the best results)
3) Once this is done,
keeping the template in place, dust the brushed area once more with the hair
spray and remove the template.
4) Re-align the design
in the next position and repeat the process to build up the pattern across
the coat.
5) Stand back and admire
your handywork
6) Brush out at the end
of the day !
